About CG Equine
CG Equine was born from a mutual, life-long passion for horses of both Cozzy and Geronimo.
Since their first 3-month independent pack horse trip through Uruguay, the pair knew that they would create a lifestyle that allowed them to work with horses together.
After moving to Australia, they worked diverse jobs in the equine industry, studying and learning along the way, until eventually setting up CG Equine.
Their vision is to create a space to receive horses both for education ("breaking in") and bodywork therapies, providing them with comprehensive and wellbeing-focused services.
For now, Cozzy and Geronimo travel to their clients, providing contracting and freelance services.
About Geronimo
Geronimo grew up riding and training horses in Uruguay, South America, where he rode working ranch horses and in bareback rodeos as a teenager.
At a young age, Geronimo began helping the horse breakers start horses using the traditional methods, but he was always looking for new and different ways to work with horses.
In his early 20's, Geronimo worked at a non-traditional ranch in Uruguay where he learned about natural horsemanship and began starting horses with this approach.
That was where he met his Australian partner Cozzy and shortly afterwards they went on a 3 month long independant pack horse trip across the country with two riding horses, a pack horse and his dog.
Geronimo has spent the last 5 years in Australia working with young horses in Polo, Endurance and Racing.
In the last 4 years he has started over 450 horses, and he brings all of this experience with a kind hand to his work with green horses.
Geronimo recently competed at the MFSR Bush Festival trainer's challenge on two different horses, showcasing his versatility and skills.
A fascination with the learning process and psychology of horses means Geronimo is constantly looking to improve his skills and continue learning, while always putting the wellbeing of horses first.
