Meet Cozzy

Cosette, known to most as Cozzy brings over 10 years of experience in the horse industry across a wide range of disciplines. Early in her career, she worked in South America as a trek guide for one-day, overnight, and long-distance rides, while also starting young horses. She later undertook a three-month independent pack-horse journey with three horses, a dog, and her partner, Geronimo, an adventure that deepened her connection to horses and the way they learn and thrive.

Today, Cozzy is a qualified Equine and Animal Acupuncturist, Equine Sports Massage Therapist, and PEMF Practitioner. She continues to expand her knowledge through short courses, masterclasses, and ongoing study in a wide range of equine bodywork modalities.

She is also three years into a Bachelor in Human Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, while concurrently studying Equine Osteopathy. This dedication to lifelong learning allows her to bring both traditional and modern approaches into her practice.

With a strong passion for equine wellbeing, Cozzy is known as a gentle, intuitive practitioner who works within each horse’s boundaries, ensuring that every therapeutic experience is positive and beneficial.

Founder & Lead Therapist

Our story

CG Equine was founded from Cozzy and Geronimo’s mutual, lifelong passion for horses and a shared desire to work in the equine industry without ever compromising a horse’s wellbeing.

What began with hands-on experience and study has grown into a practice dedicated to performance, recovery, wellbeing, and education.

Our vision

We aim to create a welcoming space where horses can receive both education (breaking in) and therapy, from starting young horses through to ongoing bodywork and recovery.

Our vision is to provide comprehensive, wellbeing-focused services that honour the individuality of every horse, while educating owners to better understand and support their equine partners.

Meet Geronimo

Geronimo grew up in Uruguay, South America, where he spent his youth riding working ranch horses and competing in bareback rodeos. From an early age, he assisted local horse breakers, first learning traditional starting methods before seeking out new, gentler ways to connect with horses.

In his early twenties, Geronimo worked at a progressive ranch in Uruguay where he was introduced to natural horsemanship. This approach transformed the way he started young horses and set the foundation for his training philosophy today. It was during this time that he met his Australian partner, Cozzy, and together they embarked on a three-month independent pack-horse journey across Uruguay with three horses and a dog, an adventure that shaped both their paths forward.

Over the last five years in Australia, Geronimo has started more than 500 horses across polo, endurance, and racing. Known for his calm, kind hand, he specialises in green and young horses, always prioritising their mindset as well as their training.

Geronimo recently competed at the Legacy of The Horse Colt Start competition, where he came a close second in the wildcard round and was awarded the overall Horsemanship Award amongst seven trainers. His skills were also recently showcased at the MFSR Bush Festival Trainer’s Challenge, where he competed on two different horses.

Driven by a fascination with equine psychology and the learning process, he continues to refine his methods and deepen his understanding, always with the wellbeing of the horse at the centre of his work.

Lead Trainer & Educator

Just to show the difference you have made.. We never took Summer (boxer) down to the dam because it was too far for her to walk herself.

Today she walked, she played for quite some time then walked back to the house.

Thank you so much!

- Tracey and Daniel
